Oatmeal with Banana, Chia Seeds and Bee Pollen

  • 1 banana
  • 1 Tbl chia seeds
  • 1 tsp brown sugar (optional)
  • 2 tsp bee pollen
  • Oatmeal (use as much as you like...I like Trader Joe's frozen Steelcut Oatmeal)

Prepare oatmeal first and then top with the other ingredients.  I put the bee pollen on top first since I like the granules to break away into the warm oatmeal, followed by the sliced banana and then finally the chia seeds to add a little crunch.  So yummy!

Featured Superfood Facts:

Chia Seeds - They take on the flavor of whatever you place them in.  Amazing source of Omega-3's, fiber and protein.  Chia seeds are rich in antioxidants, gluten-free, contain 5 times the calcium in milk and are even known to help regulate insulin levels.

Bee Pollen - The granules have a mild honey flavor...very discreet and tasty.  Bee pollen has been known to slow the aging process. It's chemical compound includes vitamins A, B, C, D, E, K, folic acid, calcium, potassium, iron, zinc, magnesium, selenium, protein and amino acids to name a few.  It is an anti-inflammatory, energy booster, aids in digestion, and supports a healthy immune system. *Make sure you aren't allergic to bees before consuming.
